After 2 rigorous selection rounds of the 2021 National Excellent Student Contest, 6 distinguished students from Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in Maths, Physics and Chemistry have emerged, representing the Vietnamese team entering the International Olympiad.
Recently, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has gladly welcomed the excellent achievements coming from teachers and students from the international team, with 6 students in the Math - Physics - Chemistry teams. Their success goes hand-in-hand with teachers who have led the team with devotion. With their enthusiastic teaching and great knowledge, they are the heroes behind those brilliant achievements, inspiring their colleagues as well as Ha Noi - Amsterdam students and the padagogy environment as a whole.
At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31st 2021, at the 700-seat auditorium of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the opening ceremony for the National Excellent Student Competition in preparation for the 2021 International Olympiad occurred with the attendance of members of the Quality Control Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, led by Mr. Mai Van Trinh, Head of the Department; Mr. Pham Xuan Tien, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Mrs. Tran Thuy Duong, Party Committee Secretary and Principal of the School; along with 191 students from 36 provinces.
Through the preliminary audition, 13 most outstanding performances had brought the talented and enthusiastic Amsers to the last stage. At 1.30 p.m, March 24th, in the 700-seat Hall, with the presence of hundreds of pupils, teachers, guests and media units, Ams’ Got Talent (AGT) season 13: Florescence Finale was successfully held, leaving remarkable moments in the audience’s hearts.
To commend the achievements of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School’s teachers and students in academic contests as well as in collective activities, an Award Ceremony for the National Science & Engineering competition was held on the morning of March 29, 2021. On top of that, 34 classes enthusiastically took part in the recent “Welcoming Class Competition".
On 27/3, the Ministry of Education and Training held the closing and award ceremony for the 2020 - 2021 Science & Technology competition for juniors in Hue.
With a view to organising an activity for the Tree - planting Tet in the spring days full of vitality, heading towards the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26th, 1931 - March 26th, 2021), the Executive Committee of the School’s Union has initiated the “Welcoming Class Competition" to every Youth Unions and Detachments of the school.
On March 17th, Hanoi Youth Union announced the list of Hanoi’s 10 outstanding young faces of 2020. Nguyen Manh Quan (Physics 18-21) is one of the two faces selected in the field of study and scientific research along with Assoc. Prof. Pham Chien Thang. Earlier he has won many prizes, noticeably a gold medal at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2019 in Hungary; a gold medal at European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2020; a gold medal at International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2018;... AWW had a conversation with Nguyen Manh Quan to hear him share his feelings after receiving these awards.
On 24/3/2021, the Youth Union of Cau Giay District held the 90th Anniversary of the establishment of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at the 3rd floor Hall - Cau Giay District Committee. During the ceremony, the District’s Youth Union held an award ceremony for the "Passionate Youth 2021" Competition. Chu Hoa Bao Tram - Deputy Secretary of 10 History Class was one of two students from Cau Giay District to win the prize in the competition.
