THE HEROES BEHIND THE INTERNATIONAL TEAM’S SUCCESS
Recently, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has gladly welcomed the excellent achievements coming from teachers and students from the international team, with 6 students in the Math - Physics - Chemistry teams. Their success goes hand-in-hand with teachers who have led the team with devotion. With their enthusiastic teaching and great knowledge, they are the heroes behind those brilliant achievements, inspiring their colleagues as well as Ha Noi - Amsterdam students and the padagogy environment as a whole.
Having had the 5-year experience of leading excellent students from gifted schools, Nguyen Trung Tuan has led the international Math team to remarkable achievements, despite that being his first time coaching teams from Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School. He humbly proclaimed to not have any special teaching methods, but with his dedication to teaching and great academic knowledge, he made a great contribution in Do Bach Khoa’s (12 Math 1) place in the International Team.

After receiving his student’s admission news, Nguyen Trung Tuan said: “Members of the team set great determination in this competition, so whatever results would still be honourable. And Do Bach Khoa was one of the most excellent students I have ever met: humble and serious in his studies. Therefore, he definitely deserves this achievement for the effort he put out.
Playing the roles of a homeroom teacher and a coach at the same time, teacher Le Manh Cuong has received great news over the last few days from his students, with 3 of them - Nguyen Hoang Nam, Tran Quang Vinh, Nguyen Manh Quan (12 Physics 1) getting in the Asian Physics trams. With the motto “apply studies to daily life”, Le Manh Cuong’s lectures are always engaging and intriguing to students. This is a major factor contributing to his team's achievements in the International arena, where issues’ practicality and application are emphasized.
Upon hearing the great news from his students, he expressed great delight: “This is the first time I have led the Physics team from Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School and have played the role of a homeroom teacher. I am very happy for my students to have achieved such brilliant initial achievements: “Keep it up and you’ll see”. You definitely deserve your success after all the efforts you put out.
Under the dedicated coaching of teacher Nguyen Hong Hai, who has had 20 years of experience in Chemistry, Nguyen Duy Anh and Nguyen Le Thao Anh (12 Chemistry 1) have achieved a place in the International Chemistry team. Well-known for his lively and vivid teaching method, he has inspired many generations of students who have a passion and talent for Chemistry.
Sharing the joy of his students upon receiving such a great honor, Nguyen Hong Hai expressed great pride as well as belief in his excellent students: “I have coached teams for many years, ever since 2006, but have only led them during school years 2017-2018 and 2020-2021. My teaching is not special; I tried to care for and educate every single student with a view to motivating them in studying the subject whenever they see me and fueling them with a passion to get better. I also teach them how to self-teach and research, so they can find a learning method for themselves. Only by learning with a passion can you master the subject. Learn with a purpose for your sake instead of others’.
It is safe to say that the school administrators and teachers, who have led and made provisions for them during those times, have played a great role in student's success. On behalf of the 6 students, I send the greatest thanks to the “heroes” behind the success. Wish the team best luck and hope the students will achieve great success!
