This year, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IPhO 2020 expected to be held in Latvia has been cancelled. With a view to providing students who have great passion for Physics all over the world with a rewarding experience, the University of Physics and Technology of Moskva has decided to host the IdPhO 2020 within each country for those who missed the competition last year.

The format of the IdPhO 2020 is exactly the same as the annual Olympiads. Participants are overseen by supervisors assigned by the Organization Committee.

To sum up, the results of the IdPhO 2020 has marked the end of a successful year for Vietnamese students at international Olympiads. More importantly, this is the first year 10th graders were chosen for the Vietnam team, nevertheless, they performed well.

For the Physics Olympiad team, while they have missed the IPhO 2020, their participation at international competitions such as the Europe Physics Olympiad and IdPho has yielded great results.
