National Defense Education in schools has always played a key role in building a National Defense Education system for all citizens and training them in a way that is in line with the socialist ideology. On the occasion of the implementation of a media plan on national defense and security education by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, we are going to look back on past national defense activities that the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has taken part in.
On 15 May, the awaited 2021 FIRST Robotics Competition 2021 award ceremony in the Game Design category took place, marking a huge success for not only the GART 6520 team but also for the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School as a whole when the school’s selected team won the “Engineer Design Award”.
The 2021 Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad (NBPhO) which took place within 5 days (5/8/2021 - 5/13/2021) welcomed 110 participants from 11 Nordic-Baltic countries. However, due to the Covid-19 situation, the competition was held online to ensure the benefits and well-being of participants - our generation’s ardent lovers of Physics. The national team managed to bring home 4 medals in the face of fierce competition, which the country is sure to have taken great pride in.
The “Mathematical Summer in Paris” summer school, July 5-9, 2021, will bring together young people who are passionate about mathematics and allow them to discover some of its many facets. Lectures by famous mathematicians will cover a wide range of topics. There will also be problem solving activities.
On April 15th, 2021, Do Quyen, a student of Class 12 English 2, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, one of the four ambassadors of the "Ambassador for a day" contest, had the opportunity to go to the Royal Norwegian Embassy to speak on issues of gender equality and climate change. For the secretary of the class 12 English 2, this is an extremely valuable opportunity, because through this competition, Do Quyen has directly raised her voice about the problems that she cares about - the opinions from young people about seemingly extremely macro, “only for adults” issues.
Kick-off day, the first activity of Ngay Hoi Anh Tai 2021 - the annual series of events of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, has officially taken place in the past few days.
Message Of Love is an event by Hanoi - Amsterdam Art Team in collaboration with HAMAC and Cheer Ams, held annually with the desire to send love messages to everyone through special art works. This year, the Message Of Love (MOL) event returns with the name Papertown, with much more interesting performances, attracting a large number of Amsers, therefore successfully conveying the idea that true love is cultivated by each one of us.
During the assembly on Monday (12/04/2021), at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the gifted, the award ceremony for students and curators of the national team attending the International Olympiad, along with students who accomplished achievements in the Graphic Design Competition ACA and the National Science and Technology competition, has been held in a delightful atmosphere, with attendance of Doan Hong Nam - President of the Education Organization IIG Vietnam.
At 14 o’clock on Saturday, April 10th 2021, in an exciting and lively atmosphere, the 2021 “Discovering Legal Knowledge Competition for High School Students” of districts Thanh Xuan – Cau Giay was successfully held at the schoolyard of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School, in Cau Giay District, Hanoi. The competition was attended by Mr. Dam Xuan Quang, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Mr. Vu Cong Thang, Specialist of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; along with representatives of the school boards from 13 high schools in the Thanh Xuan – Cau Giay districts. 11th graders participated in the competition in 13 teams – 13 high schools in the area.
