On September 5th of 2022, after an opening ceremony of the new school year 2022-2023 full of excitement and high anticipation, the teachers and students of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School had a meaningful class meeting to begin the school year. At the National Excellent Chess Tournament of 2022, Nguyen Hong Nhung (Class 11 Math 2 of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) secured a convincing victory and won the Gold Medal in the super blitz category
In the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics 2022, the Vietnamese team won 7 prizes of 1 Silver, 5 Bronze and 1 Consolation prize. The Silver Medal’s medal was Bui Gia Nhat Minh (11 Physics 1), from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School.
In the National Excellent Chess Tournament - Nam A Bank Cup 2022 recently organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation, Nguyen Hong Nhung excellently won a Gold Medal in the super blitz chess category, bringing Hanoi teams to first place with 04 gold medals. With a view to giving new students of the school a warm welcome as well as informing them about useful information of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted — where they will soon frequent for the next three school years — yesterday (August 27th, 2022), Orientation Day 2022 Amsers' Playlist was successfully held on a bright and sunny Saturday, attracting more than 700 attending Amsers of class 2225.
As one of the most awaited events of the start of school year 2022-2023, Club Fair 2022 has made its comeback under the name “Pair-a-dice”. In this Club Fair, the organizers hope to link new Amsers with the school’s over 40 clubs of various sizes - where they will be spending their 1000 days at Ams, allowing them to experience the excitement of being in a club.
At the World Invention Creativity Olympiad (WICO 2022), Hanoi students have achieved many gold medals in topics with a wide range of applications.
“Orientation Day” is a traditional event organized at the start of each new school year to welcome new members into the grand family of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School. With a view of familiarizing sixth graders with the new environment, in the morning of 27/8, the programme “Proudly Hà Nội - Amsterdam” took place. Thanks to this, students have gotten acquainted with Hanoi - Amsterdam High School and its core values under the guidance of teachers and students from The Executive Board of School Youth Union, serving as the first step into adapting to a new learning environment and exploring school clubs tailored to their needs and interests.
On August 21st, the concluding and awards ceremony at the 28th National Young Informatics Contest 2022 were carried out with great success at Tam Kỳ city hall, Quảng Nam joined by 170 outstanding contestants from 38 provinces and cities across the country, all coming for the national Finals. Among them, the crew from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School entered and won 7 prizes.
Each year, students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School constantly strive to make a mark on intellectual playgrounds domestically and internationally. In 2022, at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA), 9 Amsers became the only Vietnamese students to achieve good results.
