Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the gifted was established in 1985. Nowadays, it is among the most popular secondary and high schools in Hanoi. After 35 years of training and learning, the school has accomplished remarkable achievements.
As the storms approached central Vietnam, teachers, parents, and pupils of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted called for donations for people living in areas affected by the calamity.
In the 2020 - 2021 Teacher Pageant, Ms. Tran My Linh had excellently surpassed many talented candidates to win the 1st prize. Let’s listen to some of her “thoughts" when awarded such a prestigious prize!
On 11th November, at the 700-seat Hall, Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted held the 2020 - 2021 Teacher Pageant. Out of the nine talented, beautiful teachers, only the most outstanding person would be chosen to represent the school to enter the Inter-district Teacher Pageant of Thanh Xuan - Cau Giay.
V. A. Sukhomlynsky, a well-known educator, once said: “To educate a person–one must first know the person’s soul, see and feel their individual world.” This means that to effectively influence students, one must understand the students’ mentality. Thus, the fundamental knowledge of pupils’ mentality growth is extremely essential for every educator, from management boards to event organisers or teachers.
After having reviewed and studied rigorously for more than a month, the excellent Amsers had outstandingly passed the Hanoi Student Contest's selection round, continuing to compete in the National Student contest's second selection round on 19-20/10. Despite the difficulties in the last year, caused by Covid-19, in a short time, 111 Amsers had written their names on the traditional golden pages of the school’s generations of attending the National Excellent student contest 2020-2021.
In response to the Fire Prevention Month 2020, the school board of Hanoi – Amsterdam, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has organized the Training Session on Fire Fighting – Prevention and Fire Rescue skills for sixth-graders and tenth-graders.
On October 21, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School commemorated the National Women’s Day and paid tribute to teachers/staff with honourable achievements in the academic year 2019-2020.
On the morning of October 5th at the Library of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the School Board of Management collaborated with the Alumni Association (HAO) to organize the Alumni Meeting and the Ceremony to donate books to the school library.
Last Saturday, 12/9, students at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School hosted science fair “Science Tornado 2020 - Eureka” with a view to inspiring and generating a passion for science among youngsters.
