In the morning of 13/7/2020, at 200 hall, Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted had solemnly held the 2019 - 2020 End-of-year Ceremony. This was also time for students and teachers of Hanoi - Amsterdam High school to celebrate a very important event.
Three school years, 36 months and 1063 days at Ams of 17-20 Amsers have passed by with numerous impressions and beautiful memories of the student age. After the pre-events such as The Week of Red Background, The Day of Ao Dai,... the Made in 12 program has come to an end with The Tribute and Debut celebration, sacredly and emotionally held at 3 p.m on 13/07/2020 in the 700 Meeting-hall of Hanoi Amsterdam High School.
In the morning of July 6th, 2020, in the solemn atmosphere of the assembly, the awarding ceremony for individuals with outstanding achievements at Intel ViSEF and Hanoi’s excellent student contest for secondary students took place. This is great joy for teachers and students at Hanoi Amsterdam High school for the Gifted.
On the morning of June 30, 2020 at Hall 200, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted held the graduation ceremony for the 9th grade students, class 2016 - 2020 in a solemn, but warm and emotional atmosphere.
The National Science and Technology Competition 2019-2020 which took place in June 19th and 20th has attracted 137 projects participating throughout the whole country. The topic “Research and create multifunctional nano-sized materials applied in diagnosing and curing cancer” of Dinh Lan Chi, in class 11 Chemistry 1 and Hoang Duc Minh, in class 11 Physics 1 at Hanoi Amsterdam High school for the Gifted has excellently won the first prize nationally. My brother gave me a wish on my birthday earlier this year: “I hope you do well in school and get into Ams High!”. That scene popped up in my mind when I was walking in the school yard on the first day - the Orientation Day, starting my 3 years in the prestigious Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. I told myself: “I did it!”.
In the morning of the 10th of June 2020, under the allowance of the party committee, the school managing board, the executive board of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School Youth Communist Union had organized the admission ceremony for 74 students of grade ninth in order to promote the task of educating patriotic traditions, the idea of revolutionism and socialism cho young generations-the future leaders of the country.
On June 3rd 2020, in the 200-seat Hall of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted earnestly held the Meeting of the Council of Education with the presence of all staff and teachers of the school. This was also a Council Meeting full of warmth and affection since on this day, Ams would be saying goodbye to the “captain” who has diligently led the dream boat of Ams to the lands of victory and the teachers who have tirelessly devoted their whole life to their beloved pupils.
On April 5th, millions of students all over the country came back to school after a 3-month stay-at-home period to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Witnessing the complicated developments of the pandemic, the school board of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has devised appropriate solutions to ensure the safety of more than 2000 students currently studying at the school.
The red-canvas photo has long become a "traditional specialty" for 12th grade high school students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School. With students appearing in a striking white uniform on a red background combined with creative personal props, the red-canvas photo seems to be the pride of Amser for every generation as it captures best and most concisely the moments of Amser studying under the roof of Hanoi-Amsterdam.
