Faced with hotly debated environmental problems, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School students had brought to us the Green Life 2022 event filled with meaningful activities aimed at protecting the green planet during January 16.
On 13 - 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training commended and rewarded students who won prizes in the international exam in 2021 - 2022. 39 outstanding students were honored to be present at the commendation ceremony.

In the context of the problematic epidemic circumstances of Covid-19 around the world, this year, “Asia Youth Leaders” was held online for three consecutive days (December 20th - December 22th, 2021.) 73 excellent candidates from multiple Asian countries participated in the event. In particular, Do Ha Linh of class 10 Biology of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted was honored to be one among seven students representing Vietnam to attend. Ha Linh is also entrusted with the captain position of Team A (including students from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Cambodia, and Vietnam), responsible for team bonding and assigning tasks to other members.
Mock GART is the annual event of the GreenAms 6520 Robotics Team club, with an aim to simulate and bring experiences of the FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) innovation to the club members. After more than a month of proper preparation in all aspects, the tournament was officially held on December 29, 2021 with the support of the American Study educational organization, leaving many unforgettable impressions in the hearts of students participating.
2021 marks the 18th birthday of the IJSO (International Junior Science Olympiad) This year's IJSO team achieved excellent results when 6 of the contestants won prizes - with 4 of them winning gold medals and 2 winning silver medals. In the final days of 2021 and in the complicated context of the global Covid-19 pandemic, students and teachers of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted have all had a very special semester. Although forced to execute lesson plans and interact with each other through a virtual classroom, they have held regular December’s Youth Union meetings to much of everyone’s excitement and positivity.
10.30am, the 29th of December 2021, representatives of 41 clubs from Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the gifted gathered with teachers in charge of the school’s Youth Union: Ms Phan Hong Anh - secretary of the school’s Youth Union; Mr Nguyen Van Dinh - deputy secretary of school’s Youth Union; and Ms Pham Ngoc Lan - Secretary in charge of teachers’ Youth Union. Together, they had a meeting preceding the start of the new year 2022.
Another Christmas season came and went, but its joy and warmth remained, seeking to permeate the entire city, door to door. Unable to meet each other face-to-face amidst the pandemic, Amsers have found some truly unique ways to express care and love. Ams Advisor, Psi Ams, Amstronomy and especially the 10 English 2 community have hosted thrilling activities to celebrate this year’s Christmas.
“RÉVEILLON: A DREAM CHRISTMAS DAY” was a night to remember. On Christmas Eve, while families around the world were enjoying the warm atmosphere of their gatherings, homeless people had no choice but to lay against concrete walls and cold rolling doors to overcome the loneliness of the last cold days before the new year began. Strolling along the banks of Hoan Kiem Lake, we can see many people using pavements as their bed, the street as their home, with clear unhappiness on their tiresome faces.
