The National Science and Technology Competition (VISEF) is an annual prestigious science competition for high school students on scientific research, innovating techniques and technologies by applying knowledge from many fields to solve practical problems. Competitors would select the best topics to enter the Intel-ISEF world finals in May. On March 27, 2022, two students, Do Minh Quan (Chemistry 1 - 2124) and Nguyen Thien Luong (Computer Science - 2124), excellently won the first prize and officially entered the final round in the United States.
With a fiery passion for scientific research and high academic achievements, especially of Chemistry, Nguyễn Lê Thảo Anh was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Order and be 1 of the 10 “Exemplary young Vietnamese faces” of 2021.

On the afternoon of March 19, 2022, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted organized a school drug prevention program for 11th graders through the online platform Zoom Meetings. This is an annual activity organized by the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted School Group in collaboration with the Hanoi Metropolitan Police Agency for Drug Crime Investigation.
Founded and organized by GreenAms 6520 Robotics Team (GART 6520), the first and only club/ team from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the gifted, Power Up Ams is a student-initiated project whose aim is to make changes to the general community’s perspectives of coding and STEM. Particularly concerned about students, in the last two weeks (2/3 - 12/3/2022), the project has successfully hosted 4 lectures for secondary students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the gifted, spreading useful knowledge, while kindling the pupils’ passion and creativity for this novel subject.
At the finals of the Students’ Startup competition, students of the Capital has 2 projects in the game. These projects address highly practical issues cropping up from the necessities of life.
