The Vietnam Education Union has just issued the rules of the 2022 “Teachers through my eyes” contest to recognize, honour and spread the exemplary teachers who have motivated, inspired and positively influenced their students. With the help of the competition, the teachers and the education industry’s good reputation can be disseminated, applauded and amplified.

Contestants are students from Secondary schools, High schools, universities, pedagogical colleges and every unit in the emulation cluster of the Vietnam Education Union. Contestants can participate individually or in groups (each group must not consist of more than 3 members.)

Entries are stories told by students about the teachers who have left a profound impact on them. It can be their love, care, way of teaching; or their qualities, talent, intelligence, sacrifice, dedication, et Cetra. At the same time, students get to demonstrate their gratitude, admiration, commendation, respect and desire to share with the student community.

Requirements: The name of the work should reflect its content. The characters in the video should be teachers who have been working at educational institutions in the industry. It should have a short, concise and captivating narrative; as well as a condensed but memorable message.

Each scene should be realistically planned and shot using special effects to attract viewers. Everything must be recorded with the consent of the school and all who are involved. The work must not be already published in other competitions, in the media, or on digital platforms.

The winner of the 2021 “Teachers through my eyes” contest

Format: The entry is a 3 to 5 minutes long video, which has a clear title, as well as realistic, sharp and creative images with comments or subtitles in Vietnamese. Do not include the author’s name or unique symbol in the video’s content.

The video can be recorded by mobile phones, cameras, camcorders or drones, in full HD 1920 x 1080 format with an MP4 file extension. In case the video is recorded by a phone, the screen must be rotated horizontally. The entry must be attached to a comment file or have Vietnamese subtitles.

Entries should be extracted into soft copies which include the statement: Tác phẩm dự thi cuộc thi “Thầy Cô trong mắt em”; as well as the name of the individual contestant or group of contestants; their school or company’s address and their contact number. The content and format must not violate the Press Law, the Copyright Law, the contest rules and relevant laws.

The preliminary round took place at the Education Union and the Department of Education and Training of the provinces and municipalities; universities, pedagogical colleges and units in the emulation cluster. The local unions organize the preliminary round, judge and award all the entries, and then select and send them to the Vietnam Education Union to participate in the final round. Time to receive entries from the local unions: from September 1st, 2022 to the end of September 30th, 2022.
