Hanoi has one student chosen for the International Biology Olympiad team of 2023
On April 30th, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that based on the results of a selection test for the international team conducted by the ministry of Education and Training, one student of Hanoi was selected for the International Biology Olympic team of 2023. She was Lê Hà My, a student of class 12 Biology in Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Ms. Trần Thùy Dương, Party Committee Secretary and Headmistress of Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted shared that Lê Hà My was an excellent student with outstanding achievements in academics and training. In the 2021-2022 school year, while in 11th grade, Lê Hà My got the first prize in the National academic excellence contest for biology. In the school year 2022-2023, Lê Hà My got the second prize of this contest.

The selection contest for the 2023 international olympic was held by the Ministry of Education and Training at the start of April at Hanoi University of Education. There were 194 contestants, with 49 testing in math, 43 testing in physics, 33 testing in chemistry, 33 testing in biology, and 36 testing in computer science.
In the 2022 - 2023 school year, Hanoi Department of Education and Training formed 12 teams with a total of 184 students competing in 12 subjects in the national academic excellence team by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Hanoi team came first with the amount of prizes, with 13 first prizes, 46 second prizes, 41 third prizes, and 41 honorable mentions.
