Journée Francoscénique goes like a bomb with FRANCOMÉDIES
Francomédies, which is jointly held by classes 10F1 and 10F2, is the third show of Hanoi-Amsterdam high school’s Annual French play - Journée Francoscénique.
Through 33 excerpts from well-known plays by famous playwrights, the students from French classes, with the help of the school’s French teachers along with 2 foreign teachers, brilliantly displayed their abilities in both acting, getting their ideas across as well as dealing with any unexpected situtaions occuring on stage. Despite being the junior of the French faculty, classes 10F1 and !0F2 demonstrated their talents as excellently as other senior ones.
After 9 months of hard work with a view to enhancing and showcasing their knowledge, the students from grade 10 successfully brought to the stage many stunning performances.
The two elegant MCs delivered the opening ceremony.
Here are several prominent excerpts that the students have worked diligently to perform.
An excerpt of L’illusion comique by Pierre Corneille
An excerpt of Le seigneur du village amoureux by Carmontelle
An excerpt of Lucrèce Borgia by Victor Hugo
An excerpt of Dom Juan by Molière
An excerpt of La peur des coups by Georges Courteline
An excerpt of Hernani by Victor Hugo
An excerpt of Électre by Jean Giraudox
An excerpt of Le point de mire by Georges Courteline
An excerpt of Le faux empoisonnement by Carmontelle
The show ended with satisfying smiles on the face of both the “actors” and the audience. It was the respectable effort of the students from 10F1 and 10F2 that brought about the feeling of such excitement and satisfaction.
Finally, the series of activities of the Annual French play of Hanoi-Amsterdam high school came to an end, leaving in each of us the resounding joy and happiness. While Journée Francoscénique 2011-2012 appears to the audience as an interesting and meaningful event, it is embedded in students from the French faculty as a bittersweet memory of the time when they cooperated with and learned from one another.
Let’s hope that next-year’s Journée Francoscénique will be as successful as, or even more than this year's.
