Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted honorably receives The Second Class Medal of Independence on its 30th birthday
CSN – In the morning of Dec 26th 2015, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, which has received the city’s investment of 400 billion VND for refurbishment, organized a grand ceremony celebrating the school’s 30th Anniversary along with the reception of The Second Class Medal of Independence.
Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted was established in 1985 with an aim to nurturing excellent students. The school holds nearly 3.000 students, in 5 most recent years the school has trained 1.800 outstanding students of the city, approximately 400 distinguished students of the nation as well as won hundreds of international prizes. The school is currently situated on a large scale area and provided with the most modernized teaching and learning equipment of the country.
In recognition of these achievements, on Dec 26th, on the occasion of the school’s Thirtieth Anniversary, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam awarded Hanoi – Amsterdam with The Second Class Medal of Independence.

On behalf of the City Council, Major General Nguyen Duc Chung, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee warmly acclaimed and congratulated on the achievements of teachers and students of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung asserted: With the guideline: “Education must be a top priority”, despite difficulties, the City Council always strongly and radically invests in the development of the Capital’s education. In the event of the Millenium Year of Hanoi, the construction of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School was established on new grounds at the cost of over 400 billion VND.
