Generations of Hanoi-Amsterdam’s alumni reunite during the emotional “Homecoming” event.

On the evening of 26/12/2015, the “Homecoming” gala that was exclusively held for former Amsers took place. This is one in the series of events planned by the Hanoi-Amsterdam’s Alumni Network. The activities include a pre-event of cultural exchange, performances, teachers’ appreciation, a 30-year yearbook, documentaries about former students, and the main event on 26/12 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School.

Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has always been known for having the best teaching quality in Hanoi and for having diverse social activities. Therefore, it is many students’ dream to be here. It is for this reason that every year, graduates from the school achieve great success and bring the school great fame. 

Many successful people from different fields all used to spend months and months wearing the school uniform. Recently, “Homecoming” - an event held for former Amsers has taken place. The event presents a lot of alumni from many generations.

In here, we easily recognize the faces of celebrities who have achieved great success in different field. This is not just an ordinary meeting but it is a once in a lifetime chance for those who used to be students to reunite, to tell their friends about the present success they have earned through the journey of their former high school.

Each person has a different feeling, but everyone seems to be very happy to see their old friends and to see them change through time. Generations of teachers and students in this famous school of Hanoi have showed up even in the cold, making the joy of “Homecoming” become more fulfilled.

This certainly will be an unforgettable last days of 2015 for the former Amsers.

To show appreciation for generations of teachers, Amsers give them scarfs with the color blue that represents the logo of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School.

 

The slogan of the scarf is “Once Amser, forever Amser.”
