Cakes For Charity is an annual fundraising event by Ams Baking Club - the first and only culinary club of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. “ Baking is not only confined to personal hobbies but can  also be aimed towards helping our community.” With the said motto, Cakes For Charity, through 7 seasons, has been continually spreading positive values and lessons of life with the talent and enthusiasm of students passionate about culinary.

Lobby AB of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted was the venue for the first two days of Cakes For Charity 2023. From delicious pastries to jolly little decorations, everything was designed and hand-made by members of the club prior to the event.

Right after the dismissal bell rang, Cakes For Charity welcomed the first customers to the “bakery”. Teachers and Amsers who had just finished a day of work and study at the school lined up in two neat rows in front of the counter. After making the payment, the participants continued to move to another counter where they could take the order handed to them in person.

Moreover, little gifts such as stickers, badges and rings were also prepared by the organizers as souvenirs to mark the participation of customers at Cakes For Charity 2023.

Besides the souvenir shop, the letter-writing desk was also one of the new features of this year's Cakes For Charity. Along with all the revenue from the sale of cakes, the wishes on the notes written by participants will be delivered to disadvantaged children at Thanh Tam Shelter, Hanoi by Ams Baking Club. It is hoped that the sincerity of the participants will warm the hearts and light up the smiles of the unfortunate so that they can overcome their everyday struggles and find joy in life.

On the last day of sale, Cakes For Charity brought the “melody of memory” to Ecopark Weekend Fair. Here, the stall also attracted fervent support from residents of all ages thanks to the eye-catching layout and the delightful flavors of the four types of pastries. Satisfied customers and positive feedback proved to be the most worthy results for the relentless efforts throughout the preparation and event organization phases for each club member.

Just like that, the journey to retrieve memories with Cakes For Charity 2023: Savor's Nostalgia has officially concluded with many emotions and countless brilliant imprints. Through the event, Ams Baking Club not only hopes to create a fun and educative opportunity for youths with a  passion for baking, but also aims to convey a meaningful message to share and care for our own communities.
