Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted is famous as a school with a long track record of admirable achievements and always won many high prizes in competitions. The school year 2021-2022 is no exception when in the last school week, the school continuously received good news from the teams participating in 2 national science and technology competitions and "Students with start-up ideas”.

National Science and Technology Competition - VISEF 2021-2022

VISEF (Vietnam Science and Engineering Fair) is an annual contest held for scientific research; creating techniques, technologies and applying knowledge of subjects to solve practical problems. VISEF spans across 22 fields, ranging from Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Software to Social and Behavioral Sciences… The best teams in the national round will have the opportunity to participate in the next round. Intel-ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) is organized by Intel technology company in the US.

In 2021-2022, following the achievements of the previous students, the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted team has achieved many remarkable accomplishments in the VISEF competition, bringing glory to the school. To accomplish these remarkable achievements, the students as well as the teachers of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted had to put in a lot of effort and overcome many challenges and difficulties in the journey of researching topics.

2/4 of the Hanoi team are students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and have won prestigious awards in 2 fields of System Software and Chemistry. Team 1 consisted of two students Ngo Minh Quang (IT  20-23) and Mai Khoi Nguyen (IT 20-23) with the topic "Look&Tell application: Solutions to support communication for the Deaf with artificial intelligence", winning third prize overall. With the topic of "Strengthening the photocatalytic activity to treat environmental pollution of g-C3N4 by surface plasmon resonance effect", team 2 consisted of two students from the school, Do Minh Quan (Chemistry 1 21-24) and Nguyen Thien Luong (News 21-24) excellently won First Prize in the national round of VISEF.

“Students with startup ideas” (SV_STARTUP)

SV_STARTUP was held on a national scale with 400 participating universities, colleges, intermediate schools, and middle and high schools. Stage 1 of the Final Round includes a live judging round and an online voting round on the fanpage National Student Day. The team from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted successfully passed Stage 1 to enter Stage 2 with 24 other teams, including 15 university projects and 10 student projects. The authors of the above 25 projects will have 3-5 minutes to present their projects and the judges will have 10 minutes to ask questions.

SIGNTEGRATE - Sign Language translation application product that uses artificial intelligence

This year, the group of students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted included 2 candidates, Nguyen Tai Minh - 11 Math 2 and Pham Ninh Giang -  11 Math 2, and their topic "Signtegrate - solutions to support communication support for the hearing impaired in Vietnam with a sign language translation application using artificial intelligence" won 2nd prize in the final round. Presenting their topic, two candidates from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted said: "Signtegrate is the first application to translate Hanoi Sign Language into Vietnamese Reading-Writing language in Vietnam, using Signtegrate attributes to break down language barriers, minimizing difficulties in communication between normal people and deaf people, helping the deaf community integrate into society and giving them more opportunities. association in life."
