On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations and five years of strategic partnership between France and Vietnam, during the official visit to Vietnam, on the morning of November 3, French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe attended the inauguration ceremony of the Lycee Francais Alexandre Yersin and exchangd with French language students in the city of Hanoi.
On the evening of November 12th, the representatives of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted’s Board of Management: PhD. Le Thi Oanh - Party Committee Secretary, Principal; Mrs. Duong Tu Anh - Vice Principal, teachers, parents and many Amsers of the Physics major had gathered to warmly welcome the Vietnamese delegation from the 2018 International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) with great success: 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals. Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Vice Director of the Department of Education and Training in Hanoi also came to welcome the team back.
Anytime I think about you, the image of a strong-willed and passionate teacher comes to my mind. A year being your student, albeit transient, remains invaluable to us in 10 Chinese of Year 17 - 20. As Vietnamese Teachers’ Day is coming close, we sincerely send you this letter as a way of showing our appreciation of all your past efforts and dedication.
On the morning of November 11th, it was informed by the Vietnamese delegation at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) in China that the delegation itself had successfully acquired 4 medals.
During the extra-curricular session on Monday, November 4th, Officer Vo Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Youth Union, Drug Prevention Team, representing the Ha Noi Department of Security, held a talk show with students of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted about the negative effects of drugs and the responsibility of students and the school board in terms of drug prevention.
On November 9th, 2018, the competition “Explore ASEAN 2018” took place in Hanoi, its participants including three teams consisting of students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (from Hanoi), Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (from Da Nang), and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (from Ho Chi Minh City). Each of these teams represents students from the three regions: Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam, respectively.
On November 4 2018, Math Open Day 2018 with the theme “Math solves the chaotic world” was held at Hanoi Amsterdam High School with activities regarding expertise and practical experience. Math Open Day 2018 has attracted the attention of many students and children.
On November 8th 2018, 700 tenth-grade students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School For the Gifted attended a "Reproductive Health Class" with the participation of professionals from the Hanoi Obstetric Hospital. Through this extra-curricular activity, Amsers have gained more knowledge on how to maintain reproductive health, ensuring their own safety as well as others' around them.
Ams’ Got Talent (AGT) is an annual competition of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted held by the 11th graders of English 1 in order to discover and cultivate Amsers’ talents. After 10 years with tremendous success, Ams’ Got Talent Season 11 (AGT) has come back and will promisingly bring about even more surpise and excitement. On the upcoming 28th and 31st October, the preliminary audition will officially take place at the 700 Hall, and now, let’s go through some of the main points of the competition.
