Following January with the theme “Under the flag of our Communist Party advances the capital’s youth with confidence”, February upholds the theme of “Youths with revolutionary principles”. Students from different unions are not only granted the opportunity to take a closer look at various aspects of the Communist Party or The Vietnamese Revolution, but also the occasion to apply many behaviors and lifestyles into real life. Misconceptions or inquiries such as “What is Revolution?”, “What are Revolutionary Principles”, or “What should youths and students do in order to realize the Revolutionary Principles?” are all addressed in details.

Beyond the realm of “Revolutionary Principles” that is general, living ethics is also a part that needs to be tackled with regards to this month’s theme. In today’s ever-evolving society, an era of advancements, Vietnamese youths have never ceased on the pathway of personal development, always rising to seize the opportunities to integrate with the international community. The profuse young generation nowadays is the core, as well as a vital pillar, that holds the nation’s development within their grasp. Thus, youths’ lifestyles and manners greatly impact a society’s face. In whichever era, with well-guided living ethics, combined with clear desires and goals, young people are able to, step by steady step, head for the great values in this life, not only for themselves, but also for the community as a whole.

Tedious sessions on dry theory are merely not sufficient to render such Youth Union gatherings griping and engaging. Hence, it is indubitable that the thought-provoking questions for discussion and mini-games incorporated play a key role in livening up the meet-up. Cast in the light of social maladies committed by youths, immoral behaviors deemed against good-nature principles have been condemned by all students, who later came up with preventive measures. Living without any ethics or principles, young people are likely to fall prey to the whirlwind of gambling, drugs and maladies, to lose themselves, and eventually drift further away from their bright future. Looking culprits’ underhanded measures to attract more people into their pernicious lifestyle in the eye, we students should be careful in dealing with social relationships, such as by avoiding mingling with undisciplined people. Moreover, pupils should also proactively join anti-drugs campaigns in response to the school’s and union’s encouragement.
