Since time immemorial, Hanoians have always been regarded as neat and gentle people with a beautiful lifestyle, simple ways of living and honouring good values. Understanding the meaning of giving Hanoi students and young people knowledge about the graceful lifestyle of Ha Thanh people, the school has given all students a special lesson named "Civilized and elegant Hanoians" on the first day of the school year. This class period had received attention and response from all the students.

In this lesson, students had the opportunity to be introduced to the characteristics of the cultural capital, from architectural works of symbolic significance to dishes imbued with the soul of the Ha Thanh people. Moreover, the lecture also brought them the beauties of Hanoians’ culture, such as the spirit of mutual affection, the willingness to help each other, the courteous manners in daily life or the grace after every sentence, every smile…

The lesson continued with information for practising elegant manners at all times, from living, walking, working, studying to communicating. Next was the educated behaviour in traffic participation. Everything showed the beauty in the Hanoi people’s way of life.

Afterwards, pupils were provided knowledge about everyday communication. Every word of oneself must express respect and courtesy to the listener and must be proactive and agile in communication. Finally, all the students participated in a game to review what they have learned.
