In the anticipation of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (03/02/1930 - 03/02/2022), Hanoi - Amsterdam High School’s Youth Union meetings were carried out with the theme “Proud capital youth marching under the guide of the Party” and lessons such as the Communist Party of Vietnam’s history, leadership of the Party as well as Youth Unions. This makes up a key component in emphasizing to the Vietnamese people the importance of one of the most significant and historic hallmarks in the development, construction and perfection of our government to this very day.

The founding of the Party marks a significant milestone in the history of Vietnamese workers and revolutions in Vietnam, proving the maturity and the capability to lead the revolutions by our country’s proletarians. Onwards, revolutions in Vietnam have been in the sole hands of the workers, led and pioneered by the Communist Party. The founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the fact that since its inception, the Party already had a clear and thorough political guides and principles of liberating our people through Communist revolutions, were the basis on which the Communist Party of Vietnam already became the key leaders of Vietnam’s revolutionary movements, solved crises of the Party’s agenda and the class that would lead the revolution during the first half of the 20th century, paving ways for the roads and directions for Vietnam’s new development days after its birth.

Besides, January Youth Union meetings were also carried out with the inclusion of the “Traffic safety for tomorrow’s smile 2021” competition. The contest helped to ensure road traffic safety for themselves and everyone involved, and curb the number of traffic accidents, thereby prompting students to advocate for traffic safety among their family and the society.

The increasingly developed world has opened up new opportunities but has no few challenges to overcome, too, one of which that humans need to confront and deal with is climate change. Climate change has stood out as an urgent problem in the interest of numerous countries around the world, owing to its direct impact on human life. Therefore, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School has widely popularized a host of environmental competitions and has thus received support from its Youth Union members.

Joined in 2022’s Lunar New Year’s convivial atmosphere are the fervent discussions about the origins and meanings of the traditional Tet holiday planned by Youth Union members, too. Students have also used this holiday to send out the most sincere wishes to their beloved teachers and friends through unique online formats.

Furthermore, alongside sharing heartwarming full meals with our family and loved ones, Tet is a special time to send out our love to those who may be less fortunate than us as well, so having recognized this opportunity, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School’s Youth Union members held truly meaningful activities named “Warm Tet with Amsers”.

To conclude, January Youth Union meetings have been organized in the positive, eager spirit held by Hanoi - Amsterdam High School students. It was through these impactful activities that these students gained an improved understanding of the important milestones in Vietnam’s founding history , while also spreading love to other less fortunate people during Tet. As members of the Union, they must use the best of their abilities to become an outstanding citizen and contribute to the protection and construction of our nation.
