[NHAT'23] The Flag Festival - Where Students Rejoice in the Colors of their Majors
At 8:45 a.m. on September 5, after the end of the solemn opening ceremony signaling a new school year, students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted gathered in the AB lobby to participate in the Flag Festival - one of the first few events of Ngay Hoi Anh Tai (NHAT).
The Flag Festival is one of the first events leading up to the grand gala of Ngay Hoi Anh Tai (NHAT), marking the return to the largest and most important event at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. At the Flag Festival, each and every major with its distinct characteristic raised its flag and chanted its slogan to establish its presence.
Before the flags' release
Each specialized major has its own flag and slogan
Instead of wearing their typical school uniforms, students wore colorful shirts representing their majors on this special day. Speakers and microphones were also prepared so that the students could chant the slogans of their majors more enthusiastically.
Excited Amsers as the event unfolded
As the 13 different flags rolled down in their 13 distinctive colors, simultaneous cheers of pride and joy erupted in one of Hanoi’s most prestigious schools.
The creative spirit that makes Amsers who they are is expressed with full enthusiasm at the moment of flag release. This festival has always been an opportunity for all 13 majors to gather together and officially welcome a new NHAT season. It is also a precious opportunity for the new batch of 23 - 26 students to get acquainted with their peers at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
The AB Halls light with the colors of the 13 majors
The 2023 Flag Festival was successful and left a long-lasting impression on all Amsers on the very first day of school. On behalf of the Ams’ Wide Web Editorial Board, we would like to wish the majors and their students a brilliant NHAT season in 2023.
