[WELCOMING 20/10] MISS PHAM PHUONG LINH - A CHARMING TEACHER WITH INCREDIBLE LESSONS
As a young English teacher, Miss Pham Phuong Linh left a very special impression on the students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. By building lectures with lots of interesting interactive activities, combined with a gentle and warm voice, Ms. Phuong Linh has encouraged students to learn English and helped them not to feel stressed about the subject. On Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, Ams Wide Web had the opportunity to interview her.
Reporter: First of all, I would like to thank you for accepting this interview from Ams Wide Web. I really want to know why, out of countless professions, you chose to be a teacher?
Ms. Phuong Linh: Honestly, I came to the teaching profession by accident. The teacher who guided me for three years in high school was amazing and she had motivated me to become a teacher. Moreover, I always want to devote myself to society as well as pass on my knowledge to future generations, so that in the future, my children can become good global citizens.
Reporter: It is known that you were also a student of foreign languages class when you were in high school, so what led you to choose studying and doing intensive research on foreign languages?
Ms. Phuong Linh: For me, learning a foreign language is like learning about another culture. I love to understand the interrelationships between cultures, and language is a good way to gain a deeper understanding of one’s culture. Through language, we can understand more about a country's culture, and vice versa, a country's language is also very clearly expressed through its culture. Therefore, I feel very passionate about English and constantly improve her English ability.

Reporter: As far as I know, although you have only been an English teacher at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted for 3 years, you have left a strong impression on many students and teachers. So what do you think is so attractive about your teaching and learning method?
Ms. Phuong Linh: First of all, I would like to thank you for loving my teaching method. To be honest, I did not dare to admit that I have an attractive teaching style and is loved by so many students. However, I have always thought about the time when I was in high school, what kind of teacher I wanted to be, or what activities I wanted to do when she was still in school. Therefore, I always try to find and update new methods to convey the lectures and make them more vivid to my children.
Reporter: As a teacher at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted for 3 years, do you have any impressions or memories about the students at school?
Ms. Phuong Linh: For me, I like all of my students because in general, they are all very obedient and cooperative, they are also enthusiastic and active in learning. I am always impressed with the self-discipline of my children in academic matters. They don’t wait for me to ask, but they always actively text or exchange or make suggestions to her.

Reporter: On Vietnamese Women's Day 20/10, do you have any words to say to the female students studying at school?
Ms. Phuong Linh: On this occasion, I want to wish you two things. The first thing is that I wish you good health because health is something that will follow you for the rest of your life. If you are healthy, you can study well, if you are healthy, you can participate in many activities, and if you are healthy, you can pursue your passions. Second, I hope that you will always be enthusiastic and passionate in any activity, whether in study or other issues in life. Health and passion, those are the two things I want you to always have so you can get everything you want.
