Welcoming the FGC 2023 World Robot Competition team back in the joy of victory
On Wednesday afternoon of October 11th, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted welcomed and congratulated the achievements of two school students participating in the FGC World Robot Competition (First Global Challenge) 2023.
Only until 4:30 p.m. did the members of the FGC World Robot Competition Delegation walk through customs and out of the airport baggage claim area; but administrators, teachers, high school students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, Son Tay High School and family members were present at Noi Bai International Airport to welcome the delegation as early as 3:30 p.m.
The FIRST Global Challenge is a competition in the FIRST prize system - the world's largest Robot competition for high school students. The FGC is an Olympics—style international robotics competition that takes place in a different country each year. Each country participates by sending a team to build and programming a robot to compete. To participate in FGC 2023, the Vietnamese team was selected from the Vietnam Robotics Challenge. This is a robot manufacturing competition organized by FPT Group and Maker Viet Company for high school students, with the participation of more than 66 schools nationwide. In addition, 9 members of the team were also selected through interviews and training rounds... and only 5 members were able to compete in Singapore, including 02 students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

After going through the group stage and playoff rounds, the Vietnamese team won the Gold Medal at FGC 2023. In addition, Vietnam also won the competition's Social Media Award.
