Meeting up with outstanding Amsers students at the regional ASEAN exploration contest
To increase understanding of different countries, peoples, cultures, economy, and politics of members from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, an ASEAN exploration contest has been held biennially since 2002 in member countries like Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Since the promotion to chair of ASEAN in 2010, Vietnam has been proactively stepping up on its propaganda about ASEAN and the ASEAN community to increase its people’s understanding and awareness of ASEAN, Vietnam’s initiatives and policies in cooperation with ASEAN as well as Vietnam’s fervent participation and crucial role in ASEAN to approach its “One Vision, One Identity, One Community” motto. In it, young people, especially students, are among those receiving special interest.
This contest has a big impact on students in the region
This year, the regional ASEAN exploration contest was held in Myanmar and will last from December 11th to 17th, 2022. To select Vietnamese students who will be joining this contest, Vietnam Television’s Education Department will be broadcasting the national round at its studio, joined by students from 3 high schools representing both public and private schools in Hanoi, namely Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, Phan Huy Chú High School and Newton Hanoi High School.
