From October 5th to 7th, 2023, Cheer Ams Club hosted a series of training activities at the AB hall of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. The series of events has attracted the participation of many students, fulfilling the goal of spreading the spirit of sports and cheerleading activities in the school and the community.

Cheer Ams is the largest Cheerleading Club at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, participating in every major school event such as Ams Got Talent, Science Tornado, etc. With its prevalence, Cheer Ams hosted a series of training sessions to promote the club's image as well as popularize this sport to students in the school.

Cheerleading - a team sport

During the three days of the event, with shifts from 12:30 - 1:00 (October 5-6) and 9:00 - 11:00, the club arranged a Check-in desk area for participants to register for training.

The training session drew the attention of  many Amsers

The students were then divided into 3 groups: Cheerleaders, Basers and Flyers. Before entering the training session, the students were divided into two groups depending on their liking, Baser and Flyer - Cheerleader. Participants were also instructed to start with  the standard Cheer Ams warm-up routine to ensure safety throughout the training session.

Warm-up moves

Depending on the group and expertise, the warm-up exercises will have different regimens. Basers will warm up with physical exercises that require strength and endurance, while the Cheerleaders and Flyers are guided through stretching exercises.

Baser training

In professional movements, Basers will practice doing stunts, somersaults, and counters, while Cheerleaders and Flyers will practice dancing according to Cheer Ams' choreography, cartwheel flips and toe touches,... Notably, Flyers will experience climbing the basic towers with experienced Basers, as to ensure safety for participants while maintaining the fun factor.

Club members enthusiastically guiding participants

After every training day, attendees are gifted lovely items such as candy, cakes and small cards of encouragement for the freshmen. These gifts are like a boost of confidence and energy  after each training session. Moreover, at the end of each practice session, everyone will shout the Cheer Ams slogan to affirm their spirit and add to the atmosphere.

The lovely gifts were prepared by Cheer Ams members by hand

“5, 6, 7, 8 Cheer Ams!”

Cheer Ams Club’s Training Week was a great success, showcasing the appeal and excitement of this distinctive team sport to many students. Ams Wide Web congratulates Cheer Ams on their enthusiasm and passion for Cheerleading and hopes they will continue to inspire others with their spirit!
