114 Amsers officially appear in the 2019-2020 National Academic Team line-up
After a month of studying, 215 Amsers who brilliantly conquered the Provincial Academic Competition’s first selection test continued to take the second selection test which took place recently on the 22nd of October. Not letting their teachers and peers down, 114 elites received outstanding results, officially entered the National Academic Team line-up.
Participating in the second round of the Provincial Academic Competition included 215 Amsers from the school's Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Literature, History, Geography, English, and French team. On the 28th of October, the second round's result was finally announced with the publication of the Department of Education and Training’s official list of Hanoi students competing in the 2019-2020 National Academic Competition. According to the list, after two selection tests, the number of Amsers taking part in the National Academic Competition for each team is as follows:
Mathematics Team: 13/15 students
Physics Team: 14/18 students
Chemistry Team: 16/18 students
Biology Team: 10/20 students
Computer Science Team: 5/15 students
Literature Team: 5/15 students
History Team: 5/18 students
Geography Team: 7/12 students
English Team: 19/20 students
Russian Team: 4/12 students
French Team: 10/15 students
Chinese Team: 6/6 students
Most notably, Do Hoang Quoc Bao, a student of class 10 Math 1 and Nguyen Tung Duong, a student of class 10 History, passed the test with exceptional results. Quoc Bao proudly ranked third in the National Math Team, and Tung Duong ranked sixth in the National History Team. Although they are only in grade 10, there is no doubt that they had impressively become one of the eligible contestants competing in the prestigious National Academic Competition.
On 29/10/2019, at the 700-seats Hall, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted organized a ceremony that officially established the Provincial Team which will be competing in the 2019-2020 National Academic Competition. With a total of 184 students taking part in the competition, 114 of whom are Amsers, making Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted the institution with the highest number of candidates.
