Taiwan International Mathematics Competition 2012’s Overall Result
Taiwan International Mathematics Competition(TaIMC)was held in Taiwan from July 23rd to July 28th, 2012. Vietnam Team included 8 teachers and 16 students from Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. TaIMC 2012 offers the opportunities for the teams from nearly 30 countries and territories to exchange mathematics knowledge and practice. With much effort and determination, Vietnam Team have gained many achievements.

Vietnam Team comprised students from 6 - 9 grader enrolling for theUpper Primary Education Divisions and students from 8 – 11 grader enrolling for the Lower Secondary EducationDivisions. The awards are not only encouragements but also the initial step for them to conquer their next targets.
The faculty used to think that Vietnamese students often do badly on the team contests, but the TaIMC 2012 results showed a significant change from our students. They figured out how to combine and make use of others’ strengths to achieve team award: FIRST RUNNER UP and SECOND RUNNER UP.
