APPRECIATION CEREMONY OF UNCLE HO BY HANOI’S OUTSTANDING STUDENTS OF SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022

On the 132nd anniversary of Chairman Ho Chi Minh’s birth (19/05/1890 - 19/05/2022), in the morning of 18/05/2022, 200 representative outstanding students from many secondary and high schools of Hanoi joined the appreciation ceremony at the Mausoleum, reporting on the past year’s proud achievements.

 

The ceremony began with a solemn salutation towards the rising flag at the historic Ba Đình Square. The event featured the Board of Directors of Hanoi’s MOET, standing members of the Ministry’s Trade Union, Heads of the Department, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School’s school board, Head of Education and Training in Ba Đình, Hoàn Kiếm and especially 200 exemplary students who have gained outstanding achievements at National, International Olympiads, etc. year 2021-2022.

After the flag-raising ceremony, teachers and students of the capital got a chance to listen to the instructions by Chairman Ho Chi Minh to Vietnamese youths during his lifetime. Amidst the historic Ba Đình Square, a tender and caring voice could be heard through his reading of the valuable instructions, imbuing Vietnamese youths’ hearts with a duty to develop our homeland and strive for quality education.

Comrade Trần Lưu Hoa - Vice Director of Hanoi’s MOET spoke on the Youth Union’s behalf

To express gratitude towards Uncle Ho’s work and heroism, comrade Trần Lưu Hoa - Vice Director of Hanoi’s Ministry of Education and Training reported on behalf of the Youth Union on the resounding accomplishments that MOET and the students of the capital reaped during the past school year. In 2021-2022, Hanoi has received 125 awards at the National Olympiad, notably with 7 First Places. Hanoi - Amsterdam High School was in the lead with 6 First Place, 25 Second Places, 21 Third Places and 25 Consolation Prizes. Furthermore, the International teams also gained countless awards at contests such as IJSO and IMO. This has been the pride and the results born out of the continuous hard work and perseverance by the capital’s teachers and students.

Trần Đĩnh Dũng of class 12 Physics 1 in Hanoi - Amsterdam High School promised to follow Uncle Ho’s principles on behalf of the capital’s students

On behalf of 200 exemplary outstanding students, Trần Đình Dũng of class 12 Physics 1 in Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, having earned Gold at the Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad (NBPhO) in 2021, Gold at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) in 2021, Silver at the 6th International Olympiad of Metropolises (IOM) in 2021, runner-up and third at the National Physics Olympiad years 2021-2022 and 2020-2021 respectively, all of which have marked his determination for relentless endeavors to make his own little contributions to the protection and construction of our country. In his speech, he affirmed that the achievements were a combination of personal efforts and the attention and assistance given by the Party, the Country, people working at Hanoi’s MOET, his school as well as his parents.

At the end of the ceremony, the Youth Union entered the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The appreciation ceremony of Uncle Ho didn’t serve only as an expression of gratitude towards his and the past generation’s heroic spirits but also as motivation for current Vietnamese youths to strive and earn future accomplishments for the glory of our homeland.
