Soft Skills Education Program for six graders
At two p.m on March 3 at the 200-seat hall, the sixth-graders of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted had the opportunity to experience a very exciting life-skills session organized by the program Essence Process.
With the aim of providing students with essential skills they need in life, the extra-curricular activity was met with enthusiastic participation from students of the 6th grade. Volunteers from Essence Process also gave the students a very lively and exciting atmosphere when dividing the children into 10 groups and dancing with them, all warming up to cheerful, upbeat music.

Coming to the skills learning session, the sixth graders had a chance to converse and be inspired by a former Amser of first class 1985-1986, Mr. Pham Ngoc Quang. He openly shared with the young students about his days of studying at Hanoi-Amsterdam high school from the very beginning, what he learned and experienced at the beloved school. According to him, two words that make an Amser are pride and love. That is also what he wanted the students to remember, alongside the topic and meaning of the extracurricular session.

Immediately after the emotional sharing from Quang, 10 experience groups have been instructed to create their own dream school based on the criteria of creativity, sustainability and appearance. With a very interesting theme, the students from the groups were let to be creative and make the school in their dreams come true with the tool being drinking straws. In just over half an hour, sixth-grade students have come together to discuss and create special products that hold deep meanings.

The skill session ended with unique and creative designs from the talented students. Through the extracurricular life-skills session with Essence Process, we hope that the students have had a meaningful time, learned teamwork skills, soft skills and also feel more love and appreciation towards the school they are attending.
