Students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted performed excellently at the Future Blue Innovation Contest for High school Students 2021
The Future Blue Innovation Contest for high school students, organized by Hanoi Youth Union, partnering with AngelHack, had come to an end with many bold initiatives that protect the environment and keep the earth green. On the morning of 20/6/2021, the award ceremony took place online, 2 groups of students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted were honored to win First Prize and Second Prize in the competition, having surpassed many excellent ideas.
With the theme “Creativity for a green planet”, the Future Blue Innovation 2021 (FBI) had attracted 4100 online applications from many groups of high school students all around Hanoi. The Organizing Committee had picked 47 highly evaluated entries, all of which are high quality products, initiatives and policies for a green planet in the future. Next is the Planning round, which the Jury would examine and pick 12 best products to enter the final round and receive prizes. This year, the contest received many entries from various fields, and the fields that were picked the most are: smart vehicles, reducing and disposing of plastic waste, and reducing carbon emissions. These are all urgent topics and are of great interest to the community at the moment.

With the “Air Pollution Warning Network” product, Planeteers team, including 4 students: Tran Minh Quang - 10 Physics 1, Nguyen Dinh Phong - 10 Physics 2, Bui Le Minh Hoang - 10 Physics 2 and Vu Thao Nguyen - 10 Physics 2 won First Prize. With an excellent, detailed and clear presentation, the team left a good impression on the judges and went to the top position.

Bui Van Khanh - grade 11 Anh 1 and her team Gaia also excellently won the second prize - an impressive rank in the competition. Thanks to the creative Ecotizen app, the students impressed the judges with a very lively presentation. There are also many unique ideas by students all over the city, all of which are extremely impressive. Through the contest, students and their initiatives will certainly contribute significantly to the community in terms of developing and protecting the living environment around us.
