[Happy International Women's Day 8/3] Celebrate International Women's Day with a Literature girl
International Women's Day on March 8 is an occasion to honor and show respect to women. Every year, to celebrate this special occasion, Amsers are more excited than ever to be immersed in that mesmerizing atmosphere. With us today is Han Mai Lam - a cute Literature student who will be sharing some of her experiences on 8/3!
Reporter: Nice to meet you! Can you share with us your feelings on the 8th of March?
Mai Lam: I myself am looking forward to this day, especially when I also have an 8/3 celebration with my class. For the past few days, other classes have also been "rushing" to organize 8/3 for teachers and girls in the class. That makes me also excited. (laughs)
Hán Mai Lâm - a Literature girl, proactive and idiosyncratic
Reporter: So for you, what does March 8 mean?
Mai Lam: For me, March 8 - International Women's Day is a day to celebrate and pay tribute to women around the world; no matter who they are or what they do, they are worthy of appreciation and love. Most of all, for someone who is not as easy to express affection as I am, this is a great opportunity for me to give small gifts to my grandmother and mother to thank them for always loving and accompanying me throughout my childhood.
Reporter: On 8/3 last year, how did your class celebrate and did you have any memorable memories with them? Just a few words about them!
Mai Lam: Last school year, our Literature class had a discussion to prepare cards and write wishes for the teachers on March 8. My class also made funny “cosplay” videos of teachers. Besides, I have a special memory with Nhat Minh – the only male friend of my class who recorded a video to congratulate the 39 girls of the class, and for me, this is a touching and meaningful spiritual gift.
“March 8th is a great occasion to pay tribute to a special half of the world,” she said.
Reporter: As a female student majoring in Literature, if there’s anything more special about the classroom atmosphere these days, please reveal a little! Does your class have any special plans to celebrate March 8 this year?
Mai Lam: The closer March 8 gets, the more exciting the atmosphere in the classroom becomes. Not because we are excited about receiving flowers and gifts, but because the girls in our class areso appreciative and proud of ourselves – we are the “special half” of the other world! As for the plan to celebrate 3/8, my class has sent sincere and loving wishes to thank the teachers and also prepared to organize their own festival together.
Reporter: On the International Women's Day 8/3, please send a message to the teachers and girls of your school!
Mai Lam: On the occasion of International Women's Day - 8/3, I would like to wish teachers and girls always happy, beautiful, youthful, and happy. And hopefully, we can all laugh even more because everyone's smiles are as bright and radiant as flowers!
On behalf of Ams Wide Web’s Editorial Board, we would like to wish Mai Lam as well as all women a meaningful and happy celebration with their loved ones!
