National Examination results of school year 2012 – 2013 come in exultancy
Almost 2 weeks from now, we will step into the Year of the Snake 2013. In the hustle and bustle of the days in lunar December, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted is delighted to receive the hot news about the National Contest for academically outstanding students, school year 2012-2013.
On Hanoi scale, our Ams has 71/129 prizes, coming first in the whole congregation, obtaining 5 more prizes than Hanoi National University and 16 more awards than Hanoi University of Pedagogy, ranking close behind at No. 2 and No. 3. With nine first prizes, 23 second prizes, 28 third prizes and nine consolation prizes, this is a good sign for the training and fostering of excellent students teams of our Ams as well as Hanoi city when we have added 4 awards in comparison with school year 2011 - 2012 (125 prizes).
3 teams remain stable as last year's are Physics Team (7 prizes), Biology Team (9 prizes) and Russia (3 prizes). Math Team possesses 3 more awards (4/7), whereas Chemistry Team achieves 2 ones less (9/7). However, we can still assert that natural subjects with practice exams give preferences for Hanoi – Amsterdam High School students. Furthermore, Physics Team and Biology Team respectively obtain two and one additional first prizes.
Although English Team reduces by 1 prize compared to last year’s, it still polishes its achievements with 1 first, 9 second and 1 third prize. French Team experiences a successful year with 2 increasing prizes (13) and 1 first, 3 second, 6 third and 3 consolation ones.
Geography and History Team also get encouraging achievements after being opened from school year 2010 - 2011 with 1 third prize in History, 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 2 consolation prizes in Geography. We really hope these two teams will grow strongly and bring many successes in national examinations in the future. In addition, Literature Team and Informatics Team has 4 & 5 prizes, respectively.
Particularly, in National Contest, school year 2012-2013, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School owns many students with high scores such as: Nguyen Tu Anh (Math 10-13/29 points), Tran Minh Vu (Physics 10-13/37.5 points), Pham Mai Phuong (Chemistry 11-14/32 points), Nguyen Huong Quynh (Biology 10-13/34 points), Nghiem Hai Lien (Russian 10-13/18.98 points), Nguyen Phuong Thao (French 10 - 13/18.73 points) ...
