On 24/5/2018, teachers and students from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted organized the closing ceremony of the school year 2017-2018 in excitement for the achievement in the past school year. Attending the ceremony were Mrs Le Thi Oanh, principal of the school; Mr Bui Van Phuc, vice principal of the school; Mr Ho Quoc Viet, Vice Rector of the school; Prof. Duong Tu Anh, Vice Chancellor, Teacher Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Vice Principal and the presence of Etienne Rolland-Piegue, Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Activities, Director of the French Institute in Vietnam and Representatives from the French Embassy in Vietnam and all the teachers in the school board and students.

The opening ceremony starts with the flag ceremony in the solemn atmosphere. Following the ceremony,teacher Duong Tu Anh,Vice Principal of the school, on behalf of the Board of Directors summarizes the achievement of the school year 2017-2018.

In the last school year of 2017-2018, teachers and students of the Hanoi-Amsterdam  High School have reaped many valuable achievements. At the competition for excellency for teachers , teachers from Hanoi Amsterdam highschool have outstanding achievements such as: teacher Tran Thi An, First Prize Teacher of the City of Physics, first prize  Good teacher of Thanh Xuan-Cau Giay group, teacher Prof. Nguyen Thu Ha - Third Prize in Chemistry in Thanh Xuan - Cau Giay, Nguyen Van Dinh - Prize in Defense Education, Vu Hong Nhung - First Prize in Literature in District level and second prize in City level…

Not only did we achieve excellent results at City-level, National-level, City-level INTEL-ISEF technical examinations ... students from Amsterdam-Amsterdam High School also found themselves in the hala of fame in  international exams such as the Asian Physics Olympiad, International Astrophysics and Astronomy, International IJSO, Hanoi Mathematics exam, IMC International Mathematics, International Mathematics and Science International Young Entrance Exams, etc. In particular, the school also praised the achievements of outstanding individuals in the international examinations such as Tran Duc Huy 12 Physics 1, gold medal in Vietnam; Nguyen Tien Nhan, silver medal in the International Astrophysical Olympiad; Do Cao Minh Chau 10 Informatics, Luong Hien Nga 10 Mathematical Team 1 won the silver medal IJSO International Science in the Netherlands, ...

Besides that, the school highly holds the classes: 6B, 6E, 9C, 10 Mathematics 1, 10 English 1, Mathematics 1, 11 Chemistry 1, 11 English 1, Physics 12, Chemistry 1. Excellent academic achieving classes includes 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 10 Chemistry 1, 10 Tin, 11 Physics. Classes 10 Ly 1, 10 French 1, 10 Chemistry 2, 11 Chemistry 2 are complimented on the implementation of discipline.

Along with excellent academic achievements, the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School in the academic year 2017-2018 has successfully organized extra-curricular activities such as Orientation Day for Grade 6 and 10 students; Opening the Traditional space of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School, the Youth Contest for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideas and ethics, the UPU International Writing Contest, the Spring Festival, an English musical, Ams Got talent, etc. Students from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School have made good achievements in City, National and International competitions in the Arts and Sport.

Especially in the past school year, Hanoi-Amsterdam High School is honored to receive the title of global French education from the French Embassy. Mr. Etienne Rolland-Piegue, Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Activities, Director of the French Institute in Vietnam at the ceremony gave a speech  and awarded the French Teaching Certificate for the school.

The school year 2017-2018 passed with many outstanding achievements in many aspects, acknowledging the success and efforts of teachers and students of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School in the past. On behalf of the Ams Wide Web, I wish the teachers and students of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School continued to gain further achievements and continue to strive for success in the next school year.
