“English has become more and more important and indispensable means to achieve success for each person”. This statement actually has become extremely familiar and perhaps it has also turns into a truth. So, how do you improve your language skills?  Through lessons at school, extra classes, or self-study? I have a very interesting way of studying to share. In English, to practice is the most important. Therefore, as I heard that Ams’s website group wanted to establish a translation group to translate articles into English from Vietnamese to serve those foreigners who wants to learn more about the school, I didn’t hesitate to enroll.

In the early days, it was very difficult to translate an article properly. We need to write briefly but still, convey the meanings of the articles thoroughly. Every time I translate, I always have about two or three dictionaries with me. I look up for new words, then I have to check that word again for the contents. It was not to mention that I had to text a lot to ask for “advice”. Gradually, I get accustomed to translating, and the quality of the articles increased significantly. What’s more important is that my English also improves significantly as I always keep the dictionary with me.

Our translation team now has 12 members! Let’s familiarize!

1

The first member is extremely important and may be regarded as the soul of the team as he is in charge of the group, also edits and posts the articles for us. Not to mention that he is very amiable and frequently invites us for free lunch!

 2

The second member is Van Anh (10A 2). May you all still remember her incredible voice? To reveal, she is very good at English and also very hard-working!

The next member is Phuong Thao (10A2). This is our class’s beautiful secretary!

The forth member is Huyen Trang (10A2). Do you think she looks like a Japanese girl?

The next member is no less important – Linh Chi (10A2). She may be quiet sometimes, but still very “dangerous”.

 5

Next member is Thuc Anh (10A2). She has a very unique sunny smile, ensuring that you will be attracted at the very first meet.

 7

The seventh member of the team is Thao My (10A2). There’s one thing I really like about her is that she is very funny, and always dares to say what she thinks.

Next is Hai Anh (10A2), who is also known as an “enthusiastic eater”.

For a while, we’ve seen many members from 10A2, right? Let me introduce you two members from another class.

The tenth member is Thanh Thao (10A1). Thao is so naïve that her friends call her “Silly”!

The eleventh member is Phuong Quynh (10A1). Though she was the last to register membership of our group, her substantial contributions are still acknowledged.

The last member, who is also the one who accompanies you from the beginning of the article till now – is Kieu An (10A2).

I find this pretty an interesting way to practice English! Especially, you not only have a chance to practice your English, but also earn salary for your translations! Very awesome, right? Honing your foreign language skills as well as earning little yet very first income in your life is such an amazing opportunity. Besides, I also have the chance to make friends with many others!  Hope that the translation team will be expanded more and more. One day, may you be a member of our team?

See you soon!
