Meet Pham Minh Tuan - A multi-talented Chemistry-Specialized Amser
Excellent student for 10 consecutive years, second prize in the National Chemistry competition in year 11, City's first prize in Chemistry, grand prize winner in FGHA by GHA club, second prize Hanoi-Amsterdam Chemistry Olympiad, OdoVallet scholarship, school honor scholarship are the achievements that Pham Minh Tuan – a student from 11 Chemistry, has obtained in recent years. Interviewer: First I would like to congratulate you on your outstanding accomplishments.
Tuan: Thank you!
Interviewer: Can you reveal the topic that brings about your grand prize in the FGHA competition?
Tuan: The full name of my topic is: Redesign the practice exercises in Chemistry 10 in favor to the environment.
Interviewer: How long does it take to bring the project to reality?
Tuan: I spent 4 months in total to compete the idea, from June to October to be exact.
Interviewer: So how do you feel when your time and effort was paid the right price?
Tuan: I'm really happy and surprised actually.
Interviewer: Second prize in the National Chemistry competition and City's first prize in Chemistry are the accomplishments that every student could ever dream of. Can you show us some tips to your success?
Tuan: I don't think I have any secrets besides the most important thing - my love and passion for Chemistry. If you really have a passion for any subject, nurture it and spend more time on it. In the end, you will definitely be successful.
Interviewer: Thank you so much for those heartfelt words. Would you tell us the one passing such passion to you and supporting you most in this tough subject?
Tuan: That is my Chemistry teacher from middle school Ms. Ha, Ms. Hong and my homeroom teacher. I'd like to express my sincerest gratitude and thanks for them.
Interviewer: How do you use your time on Chemistry as compared to other subject?
Tuan: I spend a lot of my time on Chemistry. When I was on the school team I even spent a whole day only studying Chemistry. And now Chemistry is still my number one priority.
Interviewer: Spending so much time on Chemistry, do you still have time for any other extra curricular activities?
Tuan: I participate in a few extra curricular activities only.
Interviewer: Do you have any plans for the future?
Tuan: My nearest intention is to pursue Chemistry-related majors when entering college. If I could gain a scholarship then it'll be so much better.
