An Amser alumni becomes a Microsoft’s apperentice
Having been selected from nearly 1000 applicants for the progam named MACH of Microsoft, Nguyễn Đức Hiếu has become an apprentice for the top computing corporation of the world.
Having passed all eliminating rounds and 3 interviews, Nguyễn Đức Hiếu surpassed roughly 1000 prominent candidates from all corners of the world to be selected as an apprentice to the Microsoft Corporation. Nguyến Đức Hiếu was an Amser studying in Physics class (year 07-10) and also acted as a secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. He is now a sophomore at FPT University.
Although he had submitted his application on February 02nd , 2012, he didn’t receive the result until April 03rd 2012. Reflecting on the period of 2 months waiting anxiously, Hiếu expressed his feelings: “It was the most difficult and stressful time of my whole life. Having received the result, I could not resign myself to this joyful fact”
Besides, Đức Hiếu also shared his experiences to gain overriding impressions in front of the hiring committee: “Before applying for any positions, make a good arrangement of your own CV first. Notwithstanding the fact that you have worked for many companies, choose wisely, only those which are outstanding and teach you invaluable lessons. Don’t be greedy! Apart from activities in school, those outside campus are what the hiring committee often pays attention to. Last but not least, please touch on your ultimate goal of your life to show them that you are not ignorant of your future by showcasing your plans and purposes to strive for
Talking about forthcoming plans, Hiếu told that he would try his best to complete the training program MACH of Microsoft for 4 weeks in Việt Nam and 12 weeks in Singapore. Then, he would like to toil over his new position in Microsoft Corporation in Việt Nam. His ambition is to be an Economist working in various fields.
