Do Bach Khoa won the International Math Gold Medal 2021
All 6 members of the Vietnamese Team won medals in the 62nd International Math Olympiad 2021, including 1 International Math Gold Medal belonging to Do Bach Khoa (a student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted).

International Mathematics Olympiad 2021 took place online on July 19 and 20, hosted by the Russian Federation. In Vietnam, the contest took place in two locations: The University of Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University) and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Ho Chi Minh city).
The Vietnamese Team ranked 14th with 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medal and 3 Bronze Medal
The gold medalist is Do Bach Khoa, a student at Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
Do Bach Khoa also entered the top 10 highest score of the contest this year
The Silver Medal belongs to Dinh Vu Tung Lam, Truong Tuan Nghia, 12th graders at HUS High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University.
Vu Ngoc Binh, a 11th grader at Vinh Phuc High school for the Gifted, Vinh Phuc; Phan Huu An, a 12th grader at HUS High School for Gifted Students and Phan Huynh Tuan Kiet, a 12 grader at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh city won Bronze Medals.
Sharing with the media, Miss Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi Amsterdam High school for the Gifted, said that the Boards of Directors and teachers are extremely happy and emotional upon receiving this information.
“Do Bach Khoa has proven that no matter what environment you study in, the passion for the subject and the dedication of teachers will always do wonders. This is a pleasure for the whole school and the Math classes, and a source of motivation for the students of next generations to love Math and have faith in themselves”, Miss Duong said.
This result continues to affirm the position of Vietnamese high school students in the international intellectual arena; at the same time asserting the right direction and care that the Ministry of Education has taken in selecting and training great students; affirming the efforts of the school, the students and the teachers in the selection and training of excellent students in recent years.
