The pandemic situation still harbors a number of risks, so in order to organize a successful Opening Day Ceremony, the school introduced methods to manage and stabilize students.

The ceremony was held in the attendance of esteemed representatives, guests, teachers, representatives of parents, media agency, and especially 800 new students in grade 6 and grade 10.

Opening the ceremony was a special series of performances from teachers and students of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with the message "Hanoi – Amsterdam Pride".

After the wonderful and meaningful performances, the whole school observed the formal flag salute ceremony, celebrating the exceptional achievements in the past year of students Nguyen Manh Quan and Nguyen Le Thao Anh, who got the honor of raising the flag.

In the spirit of the occasion, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted awarded the teachers and students who achieved outstanding success in the European Physics Olympiad 2020, along with the students who had the honor of receiving the Odon Vallet scholarship.

The event ended with an impassioned speech from Ms Tran Thuy Duong, Party Committee Secretary and Principal of the institution. The ceremony ended joyfully in the sound of the school drum starting a new schoolyear.

In the upcoming schoolyear of 2020 - 2021, teachers and students alike at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted promise to study and practice well, deserving of being the pioneer of the capital’s education, achieving many honorable awards, going down in the history of the country and the world.
