Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted leads the country in prizes in the National Academic Excellence Competition

Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted tops both Hanoi and the entire country in the number of awards in the National Academic Excellence Competition for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

Out of a total of more than 3,300 students nationwide who won awards in the competition, Hanoi has 184 students receiving awards: 14 First Prizes, 61 Second Prizes, 54 Third Prizes, and 55 Honorable Mentions.

Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted leads with 105 awards: 11 First Prizes, 46 Second Prizes, 29 Third Prizes, and 19 Honorable Mentions. In the academic year 2022-2023, Hanoi - Amsterdam students achieved 100 awards in the competition.

Out of the 11 First Prizes awarded to the students of the school, the subject of English has 6 First Prizes; Chemistry has 2 First Prizes; Mathematics, Computer Science, and French each have 1 First Prize.

The National Academic Excellence Competition for high schools, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, took place on January 5 and 6, 2024 with the participation of 5,813 students, including 128 students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School. Among the 105 students from the school who won awards, 13 outstanding students from various teams (Mathematics - 3, Physics - 2, Chemistry - 5, Biology - 2, Computer Science - 1) qualified to participate in the selection exam for the 2024 International Olympiad Teams.
