Congratulations to the outstanding results of the Asian Physics Team APhO 2018

The Vietnam team at the 19th Asian Physics Olympiad, APHO 2018, has achieved excellent results, as all members of the team won prizes. The team has won four gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals. Tran Duc Huy, a high school student of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School, has won the gold medal and was awarded the best contestant of the host country. He also became one of the five members of the International Physics Competition in 2018.

Students winning Gold Medals:
- Tran Duc Huy, 12th grade student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, won first prize in the 2018 & 2017 National Physics Competition.

- Nguyen Van Thanh Loi, 12th grade student of Quang Trung High School, Binh Phuoc, won first prize in the 2018 National Physics Competition, attended APHO 2017, won second prize in the 2017 National Physics Competition.

- Nguyen Ngoc Long, 12th grade student of Lam Son High School, Thanh Hoa, won first prize in the 2018 National Competition in Physics, attended the APHO 2017, won second prize in the 2017 National Physics Competition.

- Trinh Duy Hieu, 11th grade student of Bac Giang High School, won first prize in the 2018 National Physics Competition.

Students winning Silver Medals:

- Nguyen Xuan Tan, 11th grade student - High School of Natural Sciences - Ha Noi National University, won second prize in the 2018 National Physics Competition.

- Nguyen Van Duy, 12th grade student, specialized high school of the Hanoi University of Pedagogy, won second prize in the 2018 National Physics Competition., won third prize in the 2017 National Physics Competition.

Students earning Bronze Medal:

- Le Cao Anh, 12th grade student, Lam Son High School, Thanh Hoa, won first prize in the 2018 National Physics Competition, won second prize in the 2017 National Physics Competition.

- Le Ky Nam, 12th grade student, Ha Long High School, Quang Ninh, won second prize in the National Physics Competition 2018 & 2017.

This year, the APHO Organizing Committee awarded 33 Gold Medals, 13 Silver Medals, 24 Bronze Medals and 9 Special Prizes for individuals with excellent performance in the exam.
APHO 2018 is the second Asian Physics Olympiad held in Vietnam from May 6 to May 12 and is recognized as a nationally-accredited exam, with 185 participants, 48 The delegation and 29 observers came from 25 countries and territories.
Based on the results of APHO and round 2 scores, 5 students will be selected to participate in the 2018 IPhO in Portugal in July, including:
