In the following years, Vu Quy continued to compete and won the National Gold Medal in 15-16, 16-17, 17-18.

Beside Taekwondo, with Vu Quy, Chess is a favorite, a passion "because this martial art helps me increase my ability to observe, focus, and train to develop sharper mind and patience"

With the consent, orientation and support from the family, Vu Quy encounter no problems in balancing between study and training time. Weekly, after finishing school, I spend time with my brother at Dong Da Taekwondo Club on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. On other evenings, my top priority is learning. If I have time, I put aside 2 - 3 hours to practice Chess.

 

During periods of heavy schooling, or close examination, important exams, he actively studies right in the classroom hours to arrange the most reasonable time for learning, training, fight contests, and rest. "Probably because there is a schedule of things to do by day and week from the beginning of the school year, so I am completely in tune with the intensity of the workout without compromising my academic performance.
