Amsers’ extracurricular activities during Tet Holiday

After a stressful and tiring semester, Amsers are now ready for a new one. The first semester ended with 3 extra-curricular activities that are extremely interesting and meaningful. They are Afterglow Prom - Ams' Got Talent finale and two annual activities: Tet Festival of grades 8 and 9, and Cozy Tet Holiday of Green Hanoi Amsterdam club.

Prom Afterglow

Ams 'Got Talent is one of the biggest annual extracurricular activities in Hanoi - Amsterdam High School. The journey of Ams' Got Talent Season 8 has come to a close with Afterglow Promenade prom night.

Afterglow prom night is also the award-giving night for the outstanding talents of the Ams' Got Talent Season 8. Besides, this is also an opportunity for the students to enjoy some relaxing time after a semester full of stress and fatigue. Not only that, the students also had the opportunity to express themselves and put on chic and gorgeous outfits.

Prom Afterglow this year includes the presence of the famous guests such as singer ERIK (ST.319), singer Nhat Thuy (Vietnam Idol winner 2013), dance group SINE and singer Khanh Ly (Third Place in Sao Mai 2011). Livening up the atmosphere of this year's prom are the two unforgettable pairs of DJ: The Phantoms and Doanh & HamHamm.

Ams' Got Talent is a talent contest that is held up annually by the group of students from 11 English 1 from every generation. The program is an opportunity for the students to show their talents, love, and passion for theater arts. After 7 successfully organized seasons, Ams' Got Talent has gradually become one of the most anticipated extracurricular activities.

Cozy Tet Holiday

Cozy Tet Holiday is an annual activity of the Club Green Hanoi-Amsterdam (GHA), created with the purpose of hand making and donating Banh Chung cakes for the poor, helping help them have a very cozy and fulfilled Tet Holiday, just like the name of the event.

On the morning of 05/02/2016 ( 27/01 in Lunar Calendar), 200 volunteers from different high schools in Hanoi gathered at Kim Lien Primary School to wrap beautifully square Chung cake. After the Chung cakes are wrapped, all of them are boiled in a big pot.

The following day (06.02.2016), of Cozy Tet Holiday 2016 is the Donation Day, which took place at the Caring Center for the elderly and young children - Thuy An Commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi. Nearly 200 Chung cakes were given to the disadvantaged, helping them have a New Year filled with emotions and meanings!

Donation Day is also an opportunity for volunteers to interact with children and elderly people who have difficult lives.

Tet Festival

On 02/01/2016, Tet Festival 2016, with the theme "Vietnamese Spring - Then and Now", was held in the excitement of all 8th and 9th graders. At Tet Festival, each class decorates its own booths and sell items. In addition, the classes have also appointed two students and one parent to wrap Chung cakes - traditional cakes of Vietnamese people in Tet holiday.
