On Wednesday (11/4), Class 10A1 put up a thrilling and glamorous show at the 700-seat auditorium of Hà Nội – Amsterdam School. Not only having humanity value, the show also thrilled the audience with the theme “Enchanted”.

5 minutes after the bell rang, which indicated the end of 3^rd period, hundreds of students queued in front of two entrances to the 700-seat hall, waiting anxiously to register and receive their tickets. The number of students longing to join was so incredibly high that the tickets were sold out forthwith, proving the show’s popularity.

Without further ado, right after the audience had settled down, the 2 MCs introduced the opening play: “The chronicles of Neverland”.

This play is about Prince Charming of Neverland who falls in love with princess Aurora at first sight. However, an evil witch whose name is Alibabababariva highly impedes this platonic love and casts a spell on Aurora, leaving her unconcious. The witch warns Prince Charming that if he doesn’t find the antidote on time, the princess will be dead and he will forever live in sorrow. Therefore, the Prince immediately hits the road to find the antidote for his beloved Aurora. He defeats Poseidonis with the help of a kind and sympathetic mermaid, Ariel. He also travels through many magical yet hazardous lands in an endeavor to find the antidote. And finally, when the Prince meets Snow White and is offered the magical apple – the present for her 17^th birthday from the lost mother, he comes back and brings Aurora round. In the end, they live happily ever after.

The valor and belief in love of Prince Charming are what make a happy ending for the story.

Next was the dance performance called Best Friend

THis was followed by a mesmerizing belly-dance performance.

MCs review for the second performance and introduce the third one

The third perfomance was very special and interesing with the new version of Tấm – Cám, the continuition of the forever-told folktale Tấm – Cám with the evil stepmother, the wicked Cám being punished and the nice Tấm being made the Queen of her nation. After being drowned in hot water, Cám meets Fairygod father. She is given the second opportunity to come back to life on one condition that she will never carry out any malpractices ever again. Cám, therefore, changes her name to Cơm, travelling tirelessly in the hope of finding a job. While she is crying on the pavement, she comes across Dui – the King’s assistant. Dui takes Cơm to the palace, promising her a job as a maid. Because Cơm is too beautiful a girl, making Tấm afraid that the King might fall in love with her, Tấm immediately orders Cơm to go deep into the jungle to find the magical leaf to cure her of backache in stormy weather. However, on finding the leaf, Cám is rescued by the King and he takes her to the palace again. Dissatisfied, Tấm puts poison into Cơm’s tea. With luck, the King is aware of this and makes a decree to have Tấm beheaded. Cơm’s conscience is tormented as she gives her Fairygod Father her word and Dui – her friend – pleads with her to persuade the King out of killing Tấm for he has been loving Tấm. As a result, Cơm and Dui plot a scheme to save Tấm. Finally, Dui proposal’s to Tấm is accepted and they make off to London while Cơm and the King live together happily ever after in the palace.

Last but not least, the dance performance to “We’re all in this together” put the auditorium on fire and thrilled the audience.

All students of class 10A1 dance to the same tune

A great show displaying different emotions has eventually made a deep impression on the audience. May I send many thanks to class 10A1 and my wish for our beloved Hà Nội – Amsterdam School to have many more extra curriculumns to boost Amser’s confidence and ability to foster students’ teamwork!
