For thousands of years, Vietnamese people are known as cordial and affable people with a warm heart for their community. Working based on the spirit of mutual affection, and the tradition “a full leaf makes up for a torn one”, youths from Hanoi-Amsterdam have been carrying out an array of practical, yet  meaningful, activities. It is their desire, through these deeds, to promote sharing and to bring underprivileged children a fulfilled and heartwarming Tet season.

To celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year 2022, Year of the Tiger, with the support from the Youth Union of Trung Hoa Ward as well as the Managing Board, the Youth Union from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, together with form teachers and the class Parents’ Representative Board, all the Union members of class 11 History, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the gifted, have successfully raised enough internal support to send their love, care and encouragement for 14 underprivileged  students from Trung Hoa Primary School.

Chu Hoa Bao Tram from class 11 History - member of the Extended school Executive Board - voiced her thoughts: “New Year of the Tiger is approaching, on behalf of the Youth Union of Class 11 History, we would like to express our desires to connect with disadvantaged pupils from Trung Hoa Primary School to further spread our love. Though our deeds may seem trivial, it is our hopes that together with their families, the students will be able to enjoy a cozy and nurturing season of Tet.”

Chu Hoa Bao Tram delivered the gifts to the children

Vo Quang Hung - Secretary of the Youth Union of class 11 History: “The last charitable visit to Trung Hoa Primary School was the first time I went on such a trip, and also the first time I experienced such fervent emotions in my life. Only after meeting the students and awarding them the presents myself did their extraordinary efforts and assiduity dawn on me! I really hope that all of them will relish a cozy season of Tet with the warmth from our affection!”

This trip brought the 14 pupils 9800000 VND worth of equipment and cash donated by the Youth Union of class 11 History. Although such an amount may be inconsequential, it is the accumulated small, yet sparkling with love and the desire to share, contributions made by each student from class 11 History. Let us express our hopes that the care and support ,dedicated to the disadvantaged students from Trung Hoa Primary School, from members of the Youth Union from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the gifted, particularly from class 11 History, would be capable of, even if to some extent only, making up for their families’ financial insufficiency during the forthcoming occasion of Lunar New Year.
