Going for the theme "The Energy Code", the Organizing Board wants to call on students and people to take action towards the betterment of our habitat, as well as and prevent excessive exploitation of Earth’s natural resources. Currently, more than 50% of the natural resources that Earth can provide has been used up. Should we proceed with the current rate of consumption, human needs will eventually exceeds what can be provided for. Knowing this, attendees of Green Life were determined to join hands and resolve this pressing matter, together rebuilding the future “Green City”.

Through educational yet interesting activities, Green Life had helped participants become more aware of the drastic repercussions of over-exploitation, and proposed well-thought-out measures at the same time. At the event, many students came to exchange waste paper, used plastic bottles and batteries for cute items made by the volunteers such as book clips, cards, keychains, etc. In addition, participants also received eco-friendly items such as lotus pots, metal straws and lovely tote bags.

Not stopping at organizing waste exchange events, Amsers also spread meaningful messages about environmental protection through the sale of eco-friendly tote bags on Green Life’s official Facebook page. Each tote bag sold comes with a message telling people to lead a “green” lifestyle. More specifically, the products feature pretty decorations hand-painted by volunteers at the request of customers. Thanks to the creative and unique ideas, this interesting activity quickly received an enthusiastic response from people of all ages.

Green Life 2022: “The Energy Code” met with great success, as hundreds of pounds of paper, old batteries and old plastic bottles were collected. Through this event, the members of Green Hanoi Amsterdam hope the positive impact they made would lead to promising changes for the environment, as well as people having a better sense of responsibility for preserving natural resources.

This is has been the annual event of Green Hanoi Amsterdam Club - the largest Environmental and Social club at Ams for 8 years straight. In that perio of time, nearly 7 tons of waste paper has been collected. With the aim of spreading to the community the “green”, the event had, has and continues to attract participants from every corner of our globe.
